{"id":1936,"date":"2018-08-14T08:50:00","date_gmt":"2018-08-14T08:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/playright.be\/wat-moet-ik-doen-om-mijn-naburige-rechten-te-ontvangen\/"},"modified":"2019-01-22T17:56:38","modified_gmt":"2019-01-22T17:56:38","slug":"what-should-i-do-to-receive-my-neighbouring-rights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/playright.be\/en\/what-should-i-do-to-receive-my-neighbouring-rights\/","title":{"rendered":"Receive my neighbouring rights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can qualify for neighbouring rights in any of your <strong>artistic performances<\/strong> that have been <strong>recorded<\/strong> once they are exploited (broadcast, copied, made available to the public&hellip;).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To receive your neighbouring rights, two steps are required :<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You must be affiliated to a <strong>collecting society that collects neighbouring rights for performing artists;<\/strong><br><\/li><li>You must ensure that the collecting society knows which&nbsp;<strong>recordings you were involved in<\/strong>.&nbsp;<br><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-pr-green-background-color has-text-color has-background\" href=\"https:\/\/portal.playright.be\/MembershipMng\/PlayRightRegistration2.aspx\" style=\"color:#ffffff\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Become a member<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To benefit from your neighbouring rights, you need to:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.playright.be\/MembershipMng\/PlayRightRegistration.aspx?Language=EN\"><strong>Become a member<\/strong> <\/a>of a&nbsp;&nbsp;collecting society;<\/li><li>Declare your&nbsp;<strong>repertoire<\/strong> to PlayRight ( your artistic performances that have been recorded)<br><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Belgium, producers (labels, record labels, film and television producers, radio and television stations&hellip;) are currently not obliged to notify PlayRight of who took part in which recording.&nbsp; So, it is up to you to tell us which recordings&nbsp;<strong>you were involved in as soon as possible.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can do so quickly and easily via your <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.playright.be\/\">PlayRight portal<\/a><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/strong>where all our members can consult and keep their online file up to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-text-color has-background has-pr-green-background-color\" href=\"\/en\/how-to-join-playright-as-a-member\/\" style=\"color:#ffffff\"><strong>How to become a member<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You can qualify for neighbouring rights in any of your artistic performances that have been recorded once they are exploited (broadcast, copied, made available to the public\u2026).
