Originally planned for 15 June 2020, the Assembly was postponed to 7 September 2020 due to the Corona measures and took place behind closed doors. A review of this annual event and an overview of the figures!<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As our associates could not meet in person to express their voices like each year, shareholders were invited to vote via a written statement. On 31 August 2020, an information session was organised (via &ldquo;zoom&rdquo;), in order to present and comment on the Collecting society Report and the annual accounts, the reports of the auditor and the proposed adjustments to the General Regulations of PlayRight. Also questions of the shareholders could be answered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The votes were organised via a written statement, and the counting was carried out under the control of a judicial officer, which made it possible to appoint the new directors within each college and to approve the annual report and accounts for the year 2019.&nbsp; Also the proposed adjustments to the General Regulations were approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A few key figures<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remarkable fact, PlayRight has collected a <strong>record amount of rights abroad in 2019! <\/strong>Reaching <strong>1,168,191&euro; <\/strong>in 2018 &ndash; which was already a record amount at the time &ndash; the amount received in 2019 is <strong>2,027,071&euro;<\/strong>. Unprecedented! Finally, we collected <strong>309,552&euro; <\/strong>coming from<strong> the additional annual remuneration.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In total, PlayRight has collected 20,086,909&euro; of remunerations and rights in 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the good news continues, because as for the distribution of rights realised in 2019, we can observe an increase in the total amount of rights distributed amongst our performers!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In 2019, we distributed 16,248,151&euro; of music rights amongst our musicians (compared to 10,440,532&euro; in 2018) and 8,751,144&euro; of audiovisual rights was paid out to performers in 2019 (compared to 1,038,253&euro; in 2018).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In total, 25,171,682&euro; was paid out to the artists in 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Your new directors<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1122\" height=\"413\" src=\"http:\/\/playright.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/nouveaux-admin.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20218\" srcset=\"https:\/\/playright.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/nouveaux-admin.png 1122w, https:\/\/playright.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/nouveaux-admin-370x136.png 370w, https:\/\/playright.be\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/nouveaux-admin-768x283.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1122px) 100vw, 1122px\"\/><figcaption>Anne Somers, Alain Van Goethem, Sebastian Moradiellos, Michael Schack &amp; Fabian Hidalgo<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the General Assembly, the shareholders were invited to vote for the new members of the Board of Directors. This year, five out of sixteen mandates had to be filled, while the mandates of Roland De Greef and Chris Peeters came to an end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the of Dramatic Art and Dance College, <strong>Anne Somers<\/strong> was re-elected as Dutch-speaking director for a four-year mandate and <strong>Alain Van Goethem<\/strong> was re-elected as Dutch-speaking director for a one-year mandate. <strong>Sebastian Moradiellos<\/strong> was re-elected as French-speaking director for a four-year mandate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the Music College, <strong>Michael Schack<\/strong> was elected as Dutch-speaking director for a four-year mandate and <strong>Fabian Hidalgo<\/strong> was elected as French-speaking director for a four-year mandate. Congratulations to the new Directors of the PlayRight Board of Directors! Roland De Greef has not been re-elected and Chris Peeters has not stood for re-election.
