Here&rsquo;s what you should do:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Check if you are already a member<\/strong> of another collecting society <strong>under a &ldquo;worldwide&rdquo;&nbsp;contract.&nbsp;<\/strong>By joining several collecting societies&nbsp;you run the risk of having your rights frozen if the territories the&nbsp;various societies cover overlap.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Complete the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.playright.be\/MembershipMng\/PlayRightRegistration2.aspx?Language=EN\">membership form online<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.playright.be\/MembershipMng\/PlayRightRegistration.aspx?Language=EN?inline=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">,<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Print the membership form,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sign it and forward it to us&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"mailto:affiliation@playright.be\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">by e-mail<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;or by post.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">It <strong>doesn&rsquo;t cost anything<\/strong> to join PlayRight.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-pr-green-background-color has-text-color has-background\" href=\"https:\/\/portal.playright.be\/MembershipMng\/PlayRightRegistration2.aspx\" style=\"color:#ffffff\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Become a member<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Good to know:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> Both&nbsp;<strong>adult and underage artists can join<\/strong>. Minors do have to list the name of their parent or guardian and the&nbsp;account number has to be in the name of the minor artist and has to be blocked until his\/her majority (in accordance with Belgian law,&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ejustice.just.fgov.be\/cgi_loi\/loi_a1.pl?language=fr&amp;la=F&amp;cn=1971031602&amp;table_name=loi&amp;&amp;caller=list&amp;F&amp;fromtab=loi&amp;tri=dd+AS+RANK&amp;rech=1&amp;numero=1&amp;sql=(text+contains+(%27%27))#Art.7.12\" target=\"_blank\">here in French<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ejustice.just.fgov.be\/cgi_loi\/change_lg.pl?language=nl&amp;la=N&amp;cn=1971031602&amp;table_name=wet%20%EF%BB%BF\" target=\"_blank\">here in Dutch<\/a>),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Also&nbsp;<strong>heirs of artists<\/strong>&nbsp;can join PlayRight even if the artist in question was never affiliated to PlayRight,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the time of joining, artists are also free to <strong>appoint a representative<\/strong> who ensures that their performances are declared or who will manage their file,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> You can also play an&nbsp;<strong>active part<\/strong>&nbsp;in the decision-making process within PlayRight by becoming a&nbsp;<strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/playright.be\/en\/how-to-become-a-playright-shareholder\/\" target=\"_blank\">PlayRight Shareholder<\/a><\/strong>.<br> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Becoming a member is simple.
