For the first time, PlayRight has carried out an additional run of audiovisual rights! The distribution concerns rights generated by the works that were broadcast and\/or exploited in Belgium in the reference years 2016, 2017 and 2018. The amount? 73.259,57€. This amount will be supplemented by a final distribution at the moment of closure of these rights. <\/span><\/b><\/h1>\n

The remuneration<\/span>s that lie at the basis of<\/span> these rights come from the private copying<\/b> and the lending right<\/b> collected for the audiovisual works that were broadcast and\/or exploited <\/b><\/span>in Belgium in 2016, 2017 and\/or 2018. <\/span><\/b>This distribution follows on a <\/span>first distribution that took place in October 2019 (reference year 2016)<\/span><\/a><\/span> and <\/span>September 2020 (reference years 2017\/2018)<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

FIRST DISTRIBUTION\/FINAL DISTRIBUTION, HOW DOES IT WORK?<\/span><\/b><\/b><\/h3>\n

PlayRight distributes your rights <\/b><\/span>in two stages<\/span><\/b><\/a><\/span>: a first distribution and a second, final distribution. The first distribution sets the deadline by which you can declare the recordings that may generate rights for the reference year<\/span>s 2016, 2017 & 2018. After this deadline it is no longer possible to declare your performances for these reference years. A Non-declared repertoire, hence, will not generate neighbouring rights.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Between these two distributions, PlayRight now carries out an additional distribution. This time, 73.259,57€ is being paid out to direct members of PlayRight: <\/span><\/b>33.997,62€ for 2016, <\/span>25.251,47€ for 2017 and <\/span>14.010,48€ for 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

This additional distribution concerns audiovisual recordings that were broadcast and\/or exploited in Belgium in 2016, 2017 and\/or 2018.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

This distribution is based on your declared repertoire<\/b><\/span> as registered in our database.<\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT IF I HAVE NOT DECLARED ANYTHING?<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

No panic! If you still have recordings to declare for the reference year 2016<\/b>, you’ve got until 31\/12\/2021 to do so, and for the reference years 2017\/2018<\/b> until 31\/12\/2022.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

HOW ARE MY RIGHTS CALCULATED AND, CONSEQUENTLY, DISTRIBUTED?<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For this distribution, the Board of Directors<\/a> established a list of TV channels that are taken into account in the calculation in accordance with our General Regulations<\/a>. These channels must be aimed at a Belgian audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
