{"id":2555,"date":"2018-08-17T09:28:10","date_gmt":"2018-08-17T09:28:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/playright.be\/musique-enregistree-pourquoi-je-dois-payer-2-fois\/"},"modified":"2020-01-02T09:57:55","modified_gmt":"2020-01-02T09:57:55","slug":"recorded-music-what-do-i-pay-exactly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/playright.be\/en\/recorded-music-what-do-i-pay-exactly\/","title":{"rendered":"Recorded music: What do I pay exactly?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The\nequitable remuneration is a compulsory license that must be paid when recorded\nmusic is played on a publicly accessible location.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This remuneration exists for the public use of the\nmusic repertoire of <strong>performing\nartists<\/strong><strong> <\/strong>and<strong>music producers<\/strong><strong>. <\/strong>In\nother words, when a recording is made public, the law provides that a remuneration must be paid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, authors and composers, who entrust the management of their rights to Sabam or any other similar management company abroad, also have rights on the recorded music. Since the 1<sup>st<\/sup> of January 2020, Unisono allows you to jointly pay for the use of recorded music:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The equitable remuneration, distributed to performers and producers;<\/li><li>A license to Sabam, distributed to authors and composers.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Unisono (s&rsquo;ouvre dans un nouvel onglet)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.unisono.be\/en\" target=\"_blank\">Unisono<\/a><\/strong> allows you to pay both copyrights and equitable remuneration through a unique platform.
