Changes to the cumulative threshold<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Before 2020<\/strong>: the annual ceiling was limited to <strong>&euro;4,000<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>During the health crisis<\/strong>: the legislator temporarily suspended the reduction in benefits for two periods (from <strong>1 April 2020 to 30 September 2021<\/strong> and from <strong>1 January to 31 March 2022<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Since the reform of the status of artists (end of 2022)<\/strong> and the creation of the <strong>Arts Work Commission<\/strong>, the ceiling has been raised for holders of an <strong>arts work certificate &lsquo;plus&rsquo; or &lsquo;starter&rsquo;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Current ceilings<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Arts work allowances<\/strong>:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Income from <a href=\"https:\/\/playright.be\/fr\/lexicon\/droits-dauteur\/\">copyright<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/playright.be\/fr\/lexicon\/droits-voisins\/\">related rights<\/a> can be accumulated <strong>without any reduction in allowance<\/strong> up to an indexed maximum of <strong>&euro;11,060.40 net per year<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>&lsquo;Ordinary&rsquo; unemployment benefits<\/strong> (without a &ldquo;plus&rdquo; or &lsquo;starter&rsquo; certificate):<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The threshold is set at <strong>&euro;5,528.64 net<\/strong> or <strong>&euro;11,057.28 gross<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Advisory mandates<\/strong> (in a cultural sector body or the Arts Labour Commission):<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Income can be combined with benefits up to &euro;2,133.28 per year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#128073; Good to know: <strong>income received as an <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/playright.be\/fr\/lexicon\/heritier\/\"><strong>heir <\/strong><\/a><strong>or legatee<\/strong> of a deceased beneficiary has <strong>no impact<\/strong> on your benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Calculation by the ONEM<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each year, the ONEM performs a calculation based on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>your <strong>net taxable income<\/strong> in addition to your benefits,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>possibly over a period of <strong>three consecutive years<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This calculation may result in either:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the payment of <strong>back benefits<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or the <strong>obligation to repay<\/strong> part of the benefits received.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Practical tip<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To find out the annual net income from <a href=\"https:\/\/playright.be\/fr\/lexicon\/droits-dauteur\/\">copyright<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/playright.be\/fr\/lexicon\/droits-voisins\/\">related rights<\/a> taken into account by the ONEM:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>consult your <strong>tax assessment notice<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>under the heading <strong>&lsquo;<em>Income from capital and movable property<\/em>&rsquo;<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>under the line <strong>&lsquo;<em>Income from the transfer of <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/playright.be\/fr\/lexicon\/droits-dauteur\/\"><strong><em>copyright<\/em><\/strong><\/a><strong>&rsquo; (taxable total)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.
