PlayRight distributed 1,446,618.85 euros to our affiliate members for music and audiovisual recordings exploited abroad.

What are international rights?

An artist who joins PlayRight can give us a global mandate. Thanks to our bilateral agreements with sister organisations abroad, we obtain information about the use of your repertoire in 47 countries. This also allows us to claim your international rights.

The distribution of international rights follows the local distribution rules of collective society in question. PlayRight does check the quality of their data meticulously and then takes care of transferring the calculated amount to the artist.

The total amount of neighbouring rights collected abroad for the first distribution of 2024 equals €1,446,618.85.

What is the distribution based on? 

A distribution of international rights applies to several reference years, both for music and audiovisual recordings. That distribution includes the following territories and reference years:

PlayRight, like other foreign management societies, charges 5% operational costs when transferring international rights received after 1 December 2016.

The second distribution of rights collected abroad will follow in August 2024.
