Emergency fund for artists: PlayRight extends measures

June 2 2020

Because of the measures taken in the fight against Covid-19 and its impact on the activities of our affiliated artists, PlayRight has decided to extend the emergency fund during the month of June.

An enormous amount of applications were submitted to the PlayRight+ emergency fund. We are, therefore, aware that the crisis caused by the pandemic will continue to have major consequences for the entire sector and that for a long time to come. Consequently, PlayRight continues to mobilise and we are taking measures at various levels to support the performing artists. This mobilisation took the shape of an emergency fund intended for all our affiliated performers who have been directly affected by Covid-19.

The principle remains the same: the fund aims to provide partial compensation for your loss of income, due to the cancellation of your activities in Belgium as a performing artist in June.

Little change: the platform through which you have to submit the application is now linked directly to your online portal. Hence, if you want to submit an application, just log in with the same login details as those of your PlayRight Portal.

This means that you do not need to re-enter the information that PlayRight already has, such as your contact details, bank account or affiliation number. It also gives you the opportunity to update your file, if necessary, and to immediately follow up on your application process. Once your application has been submitted, our team will analyse it and contact you as soon as possible to request additional documents or information, if needed, or to inform you on the outcome of your application.
