You can now declare your performances in music and audiovisual recordings for the reference 2023 via your online portal and save a lot of time! 

Every year, we ask our affiliated artists, to declare their performances via the online portal. Only if you declare your performances can we calculate and distribute the neighbouring rights to which you are entitled. No declaration = no money!  

To make things a lot easier for you, PlayRight has added a PlayList menu to the portal. Playlists for audiovisual and music recordings broadcast and exploited in 2023 are now available on the portal. Thanks to the playlists, you can easily select the recordings you participated in in 2023. 

Music 

To calculate your rights for the Belgian territory, PlayRight uses different distribution parameters: 

• Belgian radio stations’ playlists;  
• The sales lists of Ultratop; 
• Downloads & streaming 

If you declare your music performances that were broadcast and exploited in 2023 now, you will already receive the rights during a first distribution of this reference year in October 2024.  

How it works  

Declaring your music recordings is simple:  

1. Login to your online portal;  

2. Go to the PlayList tab. This will give you access to the playlists prepared by PlayRight for each reference year;  

3. Declare your music performances.  

Audiovisual 

To calculate your audiovisual rights collected in Belgium, PlayRight uses the following distribution parameters:  

• The duration of the programme;  
• The time of broadcast;  
• The channel’s market share.  

If you now indicate your audiovisual performances that were broadcast and exploited in 2023, you will already receive the rights during a first distribution of this reference year in September 2024.  

How it works 

1. Login to your online portal;  

2. Go to the PlayList tab. This will give you access to the playlists prepared by PlayRight for each reference year;  

3. Select the type of audiovisual performance you want to declare: Audiovisual, Dubbing & Post-synchronisation or Music in audiovisual;  

4. Declare your audiovisual performance.  

Deadlines 2024  

Until 31 December 2024, you can declare the following achievements:  

• Your audiovisual performances for the reference years 2020-2021;   
• Your musical performances for the reference year 2021;   
• Your performances in RTBF (co-)productions for the reference years 1996-2020;   
• Your musical performances for the reference years 2019-2021 (annual supplementary remuneration).
