Declare your performances before 30 June!

May 27 2022

The sooner you declare your performances, the sooner PlayRight will be able to calculate and pay out your rights!

To calculate your rights, PlayRight must first know which music and/or audiovisual works you have participated in. Once you have declared your repertoire, your Account Manager will process your declarations.

Declaring your repertoire is, hence, fundamental to the calculation of the rights that you are entitled to. As the resources that are at the origin of your rights must be paid out to the artists within a certain period of time, PlayRight has created a distribution calendar with the deadlines before which you must have declared your repertoire.

However, if you declare your repertoire before 30 June the year after its realisation, you will definitely receive the rights which are due to you the earliest as possible. In other words, if you declare all of your performances as a performer before 30 June, you will receive a first part of the rights that are due to you that same year. Note: not every declaration necessarily generates rights. A set of parameters is always taken into account for each distribution (presence of the work in a playlist, audience rate, etc.).

More concretely, next September and October, PlayRight will carry out a first distribution of rights for:

  • Audiovisual works broadcast in 2020/2021,
  • Music works broadcast in 2021.

Declare your performances for these reference years before 30 June. In order to do so, log in to your online portal. Might you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact your Account Manager.
